TWO DAYS - THREE ROUTES - SEVEN MOUNTAINS - 4000 BURNING LEGS
It all adds up to Central Florida’s Toughest Ride
Come out to Waterfront Park in Clermont and help us celebrate the 35th year of the Horrible Hundred. What started out as a bunch of friends getting together to challenge the hills in Lake County has grown to become one of the premier rides in Florida. If you have never ridden the Horrible Hundred, you have heard your friends talking about all the horrible things on this ride: hills, heat, hills, rain, hills, wind and more hills. Just remember that cyclists tend to exaggerate just a little bit. All this horrible stuff just makes it more fun.
If you are not quite ready to ride 100 miles, we do have shorter routes of 70 and 35 miles. There are plenty of rest stops with food and drinks. There is a pre-ride breakfast with bagels, muffins, juice, fruit and coffee. When you are finished, there is a catered lunch.
On Saturday and Sunday, visit our Cycling and Fitness Expo. Take a test ride on one of the new bikes provided by several manufacturers. Whether you are looking for a new pair of socks or new set of wheels, you can find them at the Expo. There will also be vendors for health foods and other fitness related items and services.
So come out and challenge yourself to do a little better than last year, or, if this is your first time, just see if you can survive.
Please remember that the Horrible Hundred is a recreational ride and cyclists of all abilities are welcome. Helmets are required and headphones are prohibited, in accordance with Florida law. This is a rain or shine event.
