This year marks the 37th edition of the Horrible Hundred and another year for you to come and participate in the Florida Freewheelers’ marquee cycling event over two glorious days. What’s that I hear, “Florida has no hills!” Come see for yourself. We will have warm-up rides on Saturday that will take you along scenic roads and portions of the actual routes. Along with packet pickup at Waterfront Park, enjoy lunch at an assortment of food trucks on Saturday afternoon.
Simultaneously, the Fitness Expo will be in full effect for the weekend. There will be various top bike manufacturers where you will have the opportunity to demo some of the best machines cycling has to offer. Cycling apparel and a host of other vendors and information will be at hand.
On Sunday, challenge all the hills in Lake County. We will have routes of 35, 70 and 100 miles. Enjoy the many treats at our themed and fully stocked rest stops. You will not be the one feeling “Horrible,” that will be for the person who did not make the ride. After the ride, we invite you to dine on catered meals by Oakwood Smokehouse at the finish line.
Please remember that the Horrible Hundred is a recreational ride and cyclists of all abilities are welcome. Helmets are required and headphones are prohibited, in accordance with Florida law. This is a rain-or-shine event.
